Looking to explore Bruce County like never before? Wanting to find the hidden gems of the county? Interested in a fun family activity this summer?  The Adventure Passport is the perfect way to Explore the Bruce! 

What is the Adventure Passport?

The Adventure Passport takes you on a journey of exploration through Bruce County. With 12 stops scattered around the county, you are sure to find something that you haven’t seen before! Pick up a punch card and a map at local businesses, popular tourist destinations or the passport stops themselves! At each of the 12 stops listed on the punch card, you will find a blue passport box. When you find the passport box, punch your card with the hole punch located at the stop. Explore what there is to see around the stop, and then head to the next destination! Complete 7 of the 12 passport stops to be entered to win amazing local prizes! Hand in your passport at a validation box location or submit it online at the Explore the Bruce website! Let the adventure begin!

Sneak Peak- Stop #6

Passport Stop #6 in this year’s Adventure Passport is the Port Elgin Harbour! Pack your bathing suit and sand toys when you visit this stop! Visit in the daytime to play on the sandy beaches or in the warm water, or visit in the evening to watch the beautiful Lake Huron sunset while enjoying an ice cream cone. While you’re here, take a trip to downtown Port Elgin to visit the unique shops and restaurants. This is a stop you won’t want to miss! 

 

Sneak Peak- Stop #11

Passport stop #11 is located at Harley’s Pub and Perk in Mildmay. Take a drive to this charming little town and take in the restaurants, shops and parks. Locate the detour sign in the Harley’s parking lot and follow the instructions to find the passport box at the Lion’s Wilderness Park. Punch your card and take in the beautiful scenery that this park has to offer. Before you leave Mildmay, don’t forget to taste one of Harley’s Pub and Perk’s famous butter tarts!

Sneak Peak- Stop #12

Passport stop #12 in this year’s Adventure Passport is Smeltzer’s Garden Centre. This is the perfect opportunity to visit Point Clark! Locate the passport box at Smeltzer’s Garden Centre and take a walk through the rows and rows of potted plants and blooming flowers. Once you have punched your passport, take a drive down to the Point Clark beach. Visit in the daytime to take a tour of the historical lighthouse, and then play in the park or lay on the beach. This passport stop is worth the drive!
