Fall is a spectacular season to visit Wiarton, the basecamp to the Bruce Peninsula and home to the famous weather prognosticating groundhog, Wiarton Willie! Enjoy the incredible fall colours at the Spirit Rock Conservation area, where you can explore the historical ruins of the McNeill Estate atop the Niagara Escarpment. Take the spiral staircase to the water’s edge and stroll through Bluewater Park where you can enjoy the breath-taking scenery of Colpoy’s Bay.

With magnificent views of Colpoy’s Bay, Bluewater Park offers a waterfront campground, picnic and playground areas, swimming pool, splash pad, tennis courts, fitness trail, historic Train Station, ball diamond and Wiarton Willie.

On Groundhog Day, this nationally-renowned prognosticator makes his annual spring prediction at the Wiarton Willie Festival.

For a breathtaking hike, take the Bruce Trail north from the park to climb the red spiral staircase to Spirit Rock Lookout and the Spirit Rock Conservation Area.
