Visit the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre to explore the County’s long and proud history beginning in the “Anishnaabwe Endaat” gallery, through pioneer times to present day. Journey through thousands of years of natural and human history; come face-to-face with a baby mammoth, be the conductor of the “Bruce County Museum Railway” or play in our technology lab. Discover the rich marine history of Bruce County’s lighthouses, shipwrecks and fishing industry; board the HMS General Hunter, an 1812 battleship replica, where an exciting virtual experience awaits as you shoot the cannon to defeat the enemy. Where Memories are Made
With a diverse calendar of programs and events, it’s an open invite for families, adults and children to learn and experience history and culture at its best. Children’s programming includes Day Camps, Museum Munchkins, Halloween sleepovers, PA Day movies and more! Whether you are taking a journey of personal history or interested in public records, we are here to help. Our Research Room staff will guide you through the process of historical and genealogical research utilizing Bruce County Archives and Collections resources. The Archives is home to a variety of records that tell the collective story of Bruce County – both past and present – including municipal records, education records, business and organization records, personal papers and multimedia collections. Plus, many records and collections items are available for viewing online!
