Welcome to Butterfly Gardens of Saugeen Shores located along the beautiful shores of Lake Huron in Ontario, Canada. We are a non profit community action group formed in 2014 to help protect Monarch butterflies and pollinators by planting milkweed and native plants. These pods provide food source for caterpillars, adult butterflies and other pollinators. We would love for you to visit our 17 certified pods throughout picturesque Saugeen Shores.
Bike, hike, walk and visit numerous pods created by Butterfly Gardens of Saugeen Shores. Stretching from MacGregor Point Provincial Park, Saugeen Rail Trail, Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre, to Captain Spence Path in Southampton over 4,000 native plants have been planted to assist Monarch Butterflies.This one of a kind unique community project is a must see. Each pod has been certified as Monarch Way Station. Learn about native plants, Monarchs, and pollinators as you visit the pods. Don’t forget to bring your camera.
