North of Sauble at Oliphant? South of Port Elgin in Kincardine? Somewhere in between? With 11 km of shallow, warm sandy shores, Sauble Beach is for many, the perfect place to start. Here you’ll find a campground to suit everyone’s tastes. From forested sites to smooth paved roads for RV’s … you’re sure to find just the right spot. Southampton also offers many different camping experiences. Add in some great shopping and dining discoveries and suddenly you’re glamping like a movie star. From the wilderness found in our provincial parks to the manicured settings of our family trailer parks, you’re sure to discover your best vacation in Bruce County.

Trillium Woods Campground, Oliphant

Discover scenic Spry Lake and enjoy delightful family camping. Located just 13 km north of Sauble Beach, Trillium Woods offers laundry, showers, camping cabins, playgrounds plus canoe, kayak and paddle boat rentals. Families come back year after year.

Carson’s Camp, Sauble Beach

Carson’s Camp is BIG. There are 180 RV sites with sewer and electricity hook ups plus 490 campsites and 10 trailers for rent. Catering to families, you’ll quickly make friends while your kids will have no shortage of playmates too. Discover the zipline, playgrounds, splash pads plus both an indoor and outdoor swimming pool. Sauble Beach is a short walk down a charming road but expect to pay a walk-on fee at the entrance.

Southampton Municipal Tourist Camp, Saugeen Shores

Run by the town of Saugeen Shores, Southampton Municipal Tourist Camp offers both seasonal and daily/weekly campsites. Located near Port Elgin and Southampton. If you’re on a budget, this option is worth a look.

Dreamaker Family Campground, Southampton

Families come back to Dreamaker time and time again because this is a fun place … there’s always an activity or event to discover. Family-run, they offer camping for tents and trailers with full service hook-ups plus seasonal camping. Explore the 225 acres, enjoy the heated salt water swimming pool, playground, wading pond, hiking trails and hay rides. The Dreamaker Family Campground is open from mid-May until mid- October.

Holiday Park, Southampton

This campground and resort lives up to its name. If you’re looking for a great vacation, there’s plenty of fun and events to go around at Holiday Park. For RV-ers, there are both hydro and water and full hook-ups. Trailers are also for rent, nightly and weekly. A few of the activities include a heated pool, wading pool, soccer field, shuffleboard, basketball and volleyball… and kids, did we mention the mind blowing, gigantic bounce pillow?

MacGregor Point Provincial Park, Port Elgin

Have you ever slept in a yurt? MacGregor Point Provincial Park offers amazingly private, treed, level campsites, including those for people with disabilities. There are also 16 yurts available for those who prefer a semi-permanent covered structure for sleeping plus bunkbeds, heating, lighting and propane barbeques. Electric campsites and group camping are also available. Explore the Huron shoreline and relax on the sandy beach. Note that some parts of the campground are a radio-free zone. Peace out.

Bluewater Trailer Park, Kincardine

If camping close to all the sights and attractions of Kincardine is in the cards, Bluewater Trailer Park may be the perfect place to begin your adventures. With 33 seasonal sites and 11 overnight sites, water & electricity, showers and washrooms and a beach just across the road, this campground offers good value for those who are eager to explore the area.

Fisherman’s Cove Tent and Trailer Park, Huron Kinloss

Fisherman’s Cove knows kids. With 250 acres and approximately 500 sites in the RV park, there are so many things to explore, you won’t know where to start. Besides the exceptional amenities such as indoor pools, a sandy beach, whirlpool and rec hall, there’s also fishing, movie nights, arts and crafts and boat rentals. We’ve missed a few hundred things, but you get the picture. You can explore nature, do some birding, or hiking and the kids can be kids. It’s a win for everyone.
