On Sunday, October 5th from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., the Peninsula Bruce Trail Club invites you to celebrate Bruce Trail Day 2025 with us at Cape Croker Park!
This annual event is hosted by Bruce Trail Conservancy Clubs across Ontario, and this year’s theme is “Connections on the Trail”. Together, we’ll celebrate the connections we share with nature, with one another, and with the generations of Indigenous stewards who have cared for this land since time immemorial. We’ll celebrate the day with a variety of guided hikes for all interests and abilities:
1) The Big Loop Bruce Trail Hike (~9.5 km, starts 8:30 a.m.) – For seasoned hikers who love a challenge.
2) Mindful & Meditative Walk (10:30 a.m.) – Slow down and embrace the beauty of fall.
3) Ginebek Miikaans Hike (12:30 p.m.) – Learn about the ecological and cultural wonders of the Snake Trail Boardwalk.
4) Waazh Miikaans Hike (2:00 p.m.) – Learn more about the Cave Trail and its cultural significance.
Sign up for hikes at pbtc.ca/hikes. You can also gather with us at the Pavilion between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. for refreshments, children’s activities, and a chance to warm up by the fire. It’s the perfect opportunity to connect with fellow trail lovers, learn more about the Bruce Trail, and celebrate the fall season together. Everyone will receive a free Bruce Trail Day sticker, and the first 40 people to arrive at the Pavilion will also receive a complimentary Bruce Trail Guidebook!
