Following a well received concert in 2024, Knox Church is pleased to announce that Chatham’s 3 Tenors will return on Saturday 26 April from 7 to 9 PM.
The trio — consisting of Andrew Derynck, Colin Bell and Xander Bechard — trace their musical roots back to their high school years in Chatham. Their passion for music and rich vocal harmonies have come together in perfect union as they are accompanied by their marvelous pianist, Devon Hansen. Their musical endeavours have taken them not only within southwestern Ontario but also across Canada.
Andrew’s “creamy and luscious voice” has been heard across the nation as he has premiered a number of roles in new operas. When not singing Andrew can be found working on his family farm. When asked what he does for work, he often responds with “I scream pretty and I play in the dirt”.
Colin Bell studied music in the University of British Columbia and has performed on a concert tour in Germany and Czechia.
Xander Bechard studied music in Wilfred Laurier University and has performed in many musicals across southwestern Ontario, as well as offering private voice instruction.
Their music covers a wide range of classical and contemporary songs including “You Raise Me Up”, “The Prayer”, “30,000 Feet” and “E lucevan le stelle”.
Tickets for the concert are available at Knox Church (345 Durham Street) from 9:00 AM to Noon or at the Door on 26 April and from The Loop on Queen Street. Tickets are $25.00.
As part of our on-going commitment to community service, Knox Church is pleased to announce donations this year to a number of worthy community organizations such as the Kincardine Food Bank, United Way Back Pack Program, Women’s House Serving Bruce & Grey, and Big Brothers & Big Sisters.
