Start your river journey in Paisley, a community known for its happening art scene and strong sense of creativity. Take a stroll through the town before your paddle, checking out the local shops and spectacular murals – which make the perfect photo-op! From Paisley, begin your paddle route and take a short, scenic ride to the Saugeen Bluffs Conservation Area. As you coast, you will start to notice the high clay banks of the river, until they peak at 115 feet near the end of your ride at the Saugeen Bluffs Campground.
This is a perfect place to stop for a washroom break, lunch break, or to explore what the campground has to offer. Take a hike to the famous Lookout Point to get a Birdseye view of the river, buy an ice-cream cone at the Bluffs General Store, or take a look at the new Horse Camping Area of the campground, where visitors bring the horses to camp with them.
