Join us over two 4-day weekends to celebrate spring in Ontario: 5/23/25–5/26/25 and 5/29/25–6/1/25! Welcome to the Huron Fringe Birding Festival. From our base in MacGregor Point Provincial Park we bird near and far throughout the rich habitats of the Park as well as venturing out along the Lake Huron shoreline fringe and north up the beautiful Bruce Peninsula. The festival offers an incredible 90+ events over two 4-day weekends in late May and early June! This time of year captures both the end of migration and the beginning of the nesting season, ensuring an abundance of birds. Morning, afternoon, and all-day events are offered daily. You can choose to attend one event, a few, a weekend, or take a full-festival package! All events are led by top local, provincial, and global tour leaders. Whether your interest is strictly “for the birds,” or if you wish to delve into botany, photography, geology, cultural history, and more, you will be sure to find interesting, informative, and fun events. But sign up early as many events fill within the first few days of registration. This is a popular festival! A banquet with a keynote speaker and silent auction is held the opening Saturday of the festival. This evening is a popular place to socialize with birders from near and far. Presentations are offered every other evening of the festival on a range of informative and entertaining natural history topics. Rounding out the festival, morning coffee is available, and noon-hour BBQ lunches are provided daily by the Friends of MacGregor Point. And we can’t speak highly enough of our wonderful roster of warm and friendly festival volunteers, including our unique Event Coordinators who assist on each outing. We hope you can join us!
