Here’s a look at some of our Golf Courses

A first for the region – is a 12-hole golf course at the Club at Westlinks near Port Elgin. What’s great about this concept is it allows golfers to play 6, 9, 12 or even 18 holes (by playing six holes twice) and each round returns them to the clubhouse. Golfing great Jack Nicklaus is a big fan of the concept because it helps overcome the objection that golf takes too long to play and it also offers a great entry point for beginning golfers (6 holes at Westlink’s should take you about 1 hour and 20 minutes to play).

Golf Course Originally Designed by Stanley Thompson

A short drive away you’ll find a distinctly different experience at the 27-hole Saugeen Golf Club between Port Elgin and Southampton. It’s a mature golf course that was originally designed by world-renowned golf course architect Stanley Thompson. This is a course where you’ll want to spend time enjoying the experience and soaking in the club’s rich history and beautiful surroundings. Highly recommended is a trip to the spectacular clubhouse and patio that overlook the course.

Highly Acclaimed Golf Courses

In beautiful Huron Kinloss, you’ll find the Black Horse Golf Course. It’s a modern 18-hole design that is kept in pristine condition and features two outstanding holes built in a former quarry. Also home to Huron Kinloss is Ainsdale Golf Course, a premier 18-hole course just off of highway 21. If you’re looking for a hidden gem, we would recommend Sauble Golf and Country Club in Sauble Beach. It’s a beautifully maintained 9-hole course that dips and dives through the rolling hills of a scenic property of mature trees, ponds and flowerbeds. Just across the road is Pinewoods Golf at Sauble Beach. And a short drive east (and north on Highway 6), avid golfers will be challenged with the 18-hole course at Northern Dunes Golf Club.
