Escape to the Beach with Friends
Visit Sauble Beach for the ultimate weekend away. Escape the everyday hustle to unwind with friends.
Day 1
Find a place to stay and explore the community of Sauble Beach.
Bring your friends to the world’s second longest freshwater beach, with sunsets that paint the sky, delicious restaurants and activities for the whole group to enjoy. You’ll be reminiscing about this trip for years to come.

Day 2
Start your day with breakfast at The Wellness Refinery and enjoy a delicious smoothie bowl and one of their specialty coffees.
- When the lake is calm, rent a SUP board from Jack n Jill’s Surf Shop, and hit the water with your friends for a paddle. Sauble River Marina & Lodge Resort also has SUP boards, canoes, kayaks, paddle boats, fishing boats and bikes available for rent.
- Feeling adventurous? Visit Ascent Aerial Park and try their ropes course, zip coaster or climbing wall. An amazing experience with incredible views of the area.
- Take a short drive and visit Sauble Falls Provincial Park. As you take in the cascading falls, you may see fish jumping as they travel up the waterfall to spawn upstream. Take a hike along the Sauble Trail and take in the red pine trees and ancient sand dunes along the trail.
- Add a touch of competition to the day with a round of golf with three golfing hotspots located minutes from the beach! Visit Sauble Golf and Country Club, Pinewoods Golf or enjoy 18 holes of mini golf at Just Puttin’ Around!
For dinner, grab a bite to eat at Heydays, Sola’s Grill or the Casero Taco Bus.

Day 3
Visit Amicis Coffee Bar and take a stroll to shops like The Patch, Grit & Grace and The Garage Clothing Co. with the lake as a beautiful backdrop.
Remember to Explore Safely and Sustainably
Remember that parks, beaches and farms are carefully managed eco-systems, not just awesome Instagram backdrops.
It’s our responsibility to leave nature untouched and preserve its beauty for future generations. When visiting Bruce County, prioritize sustainable travel practices. Here are a few tips to help you leave no trace:
- Pack in, pack out: Be mindful of the waste you generate. Bring reusable water bottles, food containers and bags to pack out any trash and minimize your impact.
- Stay on designated trails: Stick to marked paths to protect fragile ecosystems and prevent damage to flora and fauna. Resist the urge to venture off-trail.
- Respect wildlife: Observe wildlife from a safe distance and never feed or disturb them. Remember, they are the rightful inhabitants of this land, and our presence should not disrupt their natural behaviour.
- Capture memories, not souvenirs: Take plenty of photographs but resist the temptation to collect natural souvenirs like rocks or seashells. Leave them where they belong, as each element plays a vital role in the delicate ecosystem.
Remember to reduce your environmental impact while still exploring and having fun. Let’s make every adventure count for our planet!
