Countless adventures to experience in provincial parks

Some of the great trails in Bruce County are located in one of Provincial Parks. Here you can feed chickadees right from the palm of hands..

Inverhuron Provincial Park

Inverhuron is home to white sandy beach, serene campground and is rich with cultural remains from over 4000 years ago. Access the Scenic Drive Trail at the gate house. The Scenic Drive Trail runs along the Lake Huron Shoreline and through the well treed section of the park. More than 200 species of birds have been observed in Inverhuron. Bald eagles spend the winter in the area. In spring and fall, large migrations of waterfowl pass overhead.

Sauble Falls Provincial Park

The trail is accessible in Sauble Falls Provincial Park, park by the gate house. The Sauble Trail travels along the Sauble River and then inland through ancient sand dunes and more recent red pine plantation. Upon arrival, pick up a Guide to the Sauble Trail. This guide will provide you interpretation as you hike through the trails. Along the path you will see numbered post that corresponds with the guide. This guide explains what Sauble Beach looked like 5,000 years ago, importance of forestry management, and which trees are white pine. Enjoy the iconic trillium in the spring, cardinal flower throughout summer and breathtaking colours in the fall.
