Day 1 

Begin your weekend in Kincardine with a stay at Inn at the Harbour, just steps away from the lighthouse, marina and downtown.

Walk down the street and enjoy a delicious dinner (with a lake view!) made with locally sourced ingredients at The Tusk.

Day 2 

Explore Kincardine’s downtown and enjoy a coffee and pastry from The Daily Grind. Stop into great shops like West Shore Clothing Shoppe, Harbour Rose Boutique and Stilara for clothing and home goods.

Hop in the car and make your way north to Port Elgin. Head to the harbour and walk along the North Shore Trail, take in the beauty of Lake Huron from the shoreline and see Chantry Island lighthouse off in the distance. Visit this vibrant downtown for more great shopping — for both him and her.

Hungry yet? Drive ten minutes north along the coast to Southampton and have lunch at the Walker House. Walk down the street and drop in Lac Boutique and Lac Too to shop women’s and men’s clothing. End your visit to Southampton with premium handcrafted beer at Outlaw Brew Co.

Head back to Kincardine for dinner with a view of the lighthouse and lake at The Bruce. Walk down to the harbour to experience the sunset colour the sky.

Day 3 

Let the smell of fresh coffee and bread guide you to Happy Hive Bakery and Cafe for a latte and delicious breakfast. Stroll through town and keep an eye out for beautiful murals that make for the perfect photo op! Stop into the Della Bella Boutique for some shopping.

Grab lunch at The Paisley Common before an afternoon adventure paddling down the Saugeen River. Arrange in advance to rent gear with a local outfitter. Helpful hint: shuttle service and equipment rentals from Thorncrest Outfitters makes your river adventure a breeze to plan! Experience the bright fall colours along the river’s edge!

Bruce County has a bountiful food scene, making it the perfect destination to explore through your tastebuds. Visit the communities of Mildmay, Lucknow and Point Clark where you will experience delicious food, the great outdoors and ample opportunities to unwind and enjoy the scenery.

Day 1

Stay at Carrick Creek Farmstead outside of Mildmay with 170 acres of rolling hills and walking trails. Visit their on-farm store for preserves, handmade soap and maple syrup.

Day 2

Drive ten minutes to Mildmay and make a stop at Harley’s Pub and Perk for a cup of coffee and delicious breakfast. Make sure to visit The Mildmay Cheese Haus to experience over 200 kinds of local and imported cheeses.

Next, make your way to Lucknow for Armstrong’s Home Bakery. Pick up freshly baked bread or desserts to enjoy during the rest of your trip. If there’s a sweet treat you must try, it’s their butter tarts!

Head towards the lake to visit Pine River Cheese and stock up with locally produced cheese and dairy products from this artisan dairy producer. There is a small restaurant with pizza, pasta, salads and gelato, making it a great place to stop for lunch or a quick bite.

Not far away is the Point Clark Lighthouse. Take in this impressive beacon and get a taste of the marine heritage in Bruce County. Walk along the Lake Huron shore and end your day with dinner at West 81 Food Co. in Point Clark.

Outdoor adventures never end in Bruce County! Pack an extra layer and head outside to explore. From campgrounds, cabins, cottages and motels, there’s a place for you to stay on the Peninsula!

Day 1

If you’re looking for a cabin in the woods, stay at the Hea Frame just north of Wiarton. Or, stay along the water at Sauble River Marina & Lodge located on the banks of the Sauble River. Explore trails through the forest, warm up in the sauna and have a campfire. Lake access is only ten minutes away with kayaks, a canoe and a SUP available for use.

Day 2

Visit Spirit Rock Conservation Area and take in the remarkable view of Colpoy’s Bay. Continue on with a scenic hike on the Bruce Trail. For lunch, enjoy a bite to eat at the Green Door Cafe in Wiarton.

Looking for an adventure on wheels? Explore off road at the Mountain Bike Adventure Park. End your day taking in the beautiful night sky and vibrant Milky Way.

Day 3

Make a stop in Lion’s Head for breakfast (or lunch!) at Rachel’s Restaurant. Visit the lighthouse and see the lion shaped rock formation that gives the town its name. Then make your way to Tobermory and hike through Bruce Peninsula National Park to experience the Grotto with fewer crowds. Take in the rugged shores of the Peninsula and look out to the crystal-clear waters.

End your day with dinner at Tobermory Brewing Co. and Grill and a walk along Little Tub Harbour.
